Adopt a vermicomposter at home!

There are many different containers for vermicomposting. They can be made of wood, plastic … with a more or less designer and chic aspect depending on the manufacturer:

Usually composed of a superposition of bins, they allow the gradual decomposition of waste. The compost thus obtained is used by simple spreading around the crops. It can also be directly mixed with the potting soil to repot houseplants. The vermicomposters are also equipped with a small tap to collect the compost juice which is used as a liquid fertilizer for your plants.

To know that it is advisable to populate your vermicomposter with composting worms which will take care of the digestion of your peelings and remains of greenery, unlike the worms of our gardens which feed on humus already decomposed by the microfauna of the soil .
